'Silver Tunnel' 2006 by Mischa Kuball

In May of 2006 I volunteered for BravinLee Program’s Riverside Park’s STUDIO in the park project.  I was assigned to assist the “light” artist, Mischa Kuball, install alumnimun foil in a large tunnel at the 83rd/84th Street underpass. The first day was challenging because we we working without a “system,” the second day was better because we made more progress with a “system”. The third day was short, quick and productive overall, Mischa was happy!  It was great working with an internationally renowned artist on a public art project that builds community meanwhile enhances the natural structures of a gorgeous NYC public park.
