Volunteering & Volunteer Students

I'm volunteering for a couple of hours as a daffodil collector with Marie Curie (the cancer charity) this weekend, and while doing a bit of research on them, I found this really cool short film (open link and scroll down) with some top tips for fundraising in public. It may not be the best video, but it certainly helps the uninitiated. The money raised through a two-hour volunteering session can help provide home nursing care to a terminally ill patient for one night. So it's very worthwhile !

And with our mr. sun coming out a lot these days, it might actually be good fun to be dressed in cheery yellows and giving away daffodils..... that signify hope and nature's rebirth after a long, dull slumber!
