Sarah, Abraham, Betty, Annie and Brooklyn

The wait is over! Grantees include a west side class eager for an excursion to the Field Museum, and a non-profit supporting boys in Bronzeville. Check out the full list of recipients .
On a personal note, in the midst of all of their good works, managed to find the time to sell our condo and help us find a new home. Needless to say, much love for the folks and dogs at LRR!
I have also started working on a new project: . As the Chicago editor, my job is to locate the coolest volunteer opportunities in the city and bring them to the masses. So, if you know of any great events or wonderful groups that need helping hands, please get in touch.
When I am no longer typing from the one spot in the house not covered by cardboard boxes, I’ll be bringing you great stories about three people engaged in good work: Ellen Bunch of , Paul Basil of and Jeffery Sommers of –who has been patiently leading the charge to bring super green pre-fab housing construction to Chicago.
Until next time, happy spring!
