Volunteer abroad for Jacinta y Francisco in Nicaragua

Jacinta y Francisco is a non-governmental organization with an emphasis on human rights for kids and adolescents. They were founded to provide a home for children who are no longer able to grow up with their birth families due to natural disaster, war and other catastrophic events.

Jacinta y Francisco helps children cope with a variety of traumatic situations, offering protection and love so that they may have a brighter future. We love volunteers with teaching experience who can help us with instruction in basic math, basic English, educational games, and in hygiene training.

Volunteers can assist by doing the following tasks:
Teach basic English to kids from 3 to 15 years old. There are two groups of kids; 3 to 8 years and 9 to 15 years old.

Help the kids with their homework in a variety of subjects.

Other tasks that you may be requested to preform outside of your core duties:
Play ans teach sports and other activities.

Volunteers with the following specific skills are preferred for this placement:
